Shoujo is anime and manga created specifically for girls (shoujo means girl in Japanese). Usually, the main character is a female heroine, and the plot is driven by emotion rather than action. The shoujo world is one in which love and romance are central. This book is designed to get aspiring artists started in creating art in this innovative style. Through a series of projects, it teaches all the basic techniques of creating shoujo art.
